About

MCHSAA Logo

Who are we? We are graduates, faculty, staff, parents, spouses, friends, and relatives — anyone who wishes to be connected with the Maquoketa Community High School (MCHS). We wish to build something people can use to stay in touch, help grow and build MCHS. The only criteria for joining is if you have an interest. We certainly do not limit membership based on your extra-curricular participation in High School. We welcome all graduates and their associates!

The value added benefit of becoming a member is giving graduates and friends an opportunity to “give back” to their alma mater.

Of course it’s a chance to stay in touch and get exclusive Cardinal merchandise; however the purpose is vital to support the continued success of the programs and services of MCHS.

All MCHSAA events and the newly formed website will be open to everyone at no charge. Visit the website often to learn of up-coming events and special messages from coaches, teachers, and other administration. Together we can link the past with the future. Thanks for considering and welcome home!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Maquoketa Community High School Alumni Association is to encourage and continue to support a life-long relationship between the Maquoketa Community High School and its alumni and friends.

Membership Levels

Annual Membership is $50 for a single person, or $75 for joint (meaning two persons residing at the same address). Membership is renewed each October 1st.

We also have a student membership for $10 annually. This is open to any student registered in the Maquoketa Community School District or to any student continuing their education at the college/university level.

Your extra measure of support furthers the work of programs and services the school offers its students, its alumni, and friends. Your membership allows us to hold various events, as well as proudly award two $500 scholarships each Spring before graduation. One $500 scholarship each to a boy and girl. In addition, through this website, you will be kept informed of upcoming events and special announcements.

As an example, some events scheduled for 2008/2009 include:

  • Homecoming activities before, during and after the football game versus rival DeWitt Central
  • Alumni Basketball tournament (Saturday after Thanksgiving) in the newly added High School gym
  • A special recognition and signed basketball event for former boy’s basketball coach Bill Fleming on Saturday, February 7th

You may find a copy of the membership application here.
