Each year the Maquoketa Community High School Alumni Association awards $500.00 scholarships to one male and one female graduating senior. The recipients of this year’s scholarships are Megan Engel and Dillon O’Connell. Megan is the daughter of Jennifer and Dean Engel. Megan plans on attending Drake University to study Pre-Pharmacy. Dillon is the son of Shelly and Loras O’Connell. Dillon plans on attending the University of Iowa to study Athletic Training. The MCHS Alumni Association would like to wish all area students the best of luck in the upcoming school year. The mission of the MCHS Alumni Association is to encourage and continue to support a life-long relationship between the Maquoketa Community High School and its alumni and friends.
